How to Install qtoctave software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

qtoctave software package provides Qt front-end to Octave, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install qtoctave

qtoctave is installed in your system.

Make ensure the qtoctave package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep qtoctave *

You will get with qtoctave package name, version, architecture and description in a table
